About us and this notice

For data protection purposes the company acts as controller of the personal data this website receives. Use the quote form for anything this page does not answer.
What the quote form collects
Using the form means sharing your name, phone number, email address, postcode and, if you wish, a message. We need these to get back to you and arrange a quote. The site does not ask you to register.
Lawful basis for processing
Handling your enquiry is something you have asked for, so we rely on the pre-contract basis, together with our legitimate interest in responding to customers.
How long details are held
Records of an enquiry are deleted at the latest 24 months after the final contact between us.
Who sees your enquiry
Only our own team and the service providers named on this page see your enquiry, and only so it can be dealt with. Apart from the service providers described on this page, no one else receives your details.
The form and where data is stored
The enquiry form is part of durhamdecking.co.uk rather than an embedded third-party form. When you send it, your details go to our own form handler on Cloudflare, which stores them in a Cloudflare D1 database and then adds them to our customer records system, HighLevel, a US company acting as our data processor. That can mean your details are transferred to the United States, protected by the safeguards in HighLevel's data processing terms.
Hosting
Cloudflare provides the hosting. Its systems see your IP address and browser information whenever a page is requested, which is needed to send the page and filter out malicious traffic. No visitor analytics or ad tracking is used.
Location pages include an optional embedded Google map, which loads only when clicked. When it loads, Google receives the request and Google's privacy policy applies to it.
Bot protection
Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a real person is sending the form, which involves processing basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type. To stop spam and repeated submissions we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with your enquiry and in a short-lived rate-limit record, never the address itself. No Facebook or advertising pixel is used.
Information kept on your device
The form sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Along with what you type, it sends the address of the page you are on, the site that referred you and any campaign tags in the link (utm_ values), so we know where enquiries come from. Our cookies page has the details.
Raising a concern
Concerns about our use of personal data can be raised with the Information Commissioner's Office; details are at ico.org.uk.
Access, correction and deletion
You are entitled to request access to your information, its correction or deletion, and to restrict or object to our processing. Use the quote form with your request, and a reply will follow within one calendar month.
