Cookies and browser storage

Overview

Short answer: Durham Decking does not track you. The embedded form uses one essential security cookie and some local storage so that it works, and that is all.

What we mean by cookies

Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Local storage is a similar feature that lets a site keep information on your device. This page covers both.

Cookies from durhamdecking.co.uk

There are no cookies from this website itself. One local storage entry, starting embedded_iframe, is created by the code that places the form on the page.

Cookies set by our form provider

__cf_bm is the only cookie involved. It belongs to the form provider's domain (leadconnectorhq.com), is created by Cloudflare's bot management, and lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Local storage used by the form

Local storage is used by the form to record your session and the page you enquired from (keys starting v2_ and v3_), and to save your place in the form (form_progress_). Nothing expires automatically; you can remove the entries at any time.

Human verification

Spam protection comes from Cloudflare Turnstile. Its only storage is a local entry named cf.turnstile… on Cloudflare's challenge domain, and it serves security purposes only.

Do we need your consent?

UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) allows storage that is strictly necessary for a service you ask for without consent. Everything listed here is needed for the quote form you choose to use, so we don't show a banner. If we ever add non-essential cookies, we will ask first.

Analytics and ads

Nothing on this site measures your visit for statistics or targets you with adverts.

Your choices

Browser settings let you decide which cookies to accept and remove stored data. Should blocking break the form, try again with cookies allowed for it, or from a different browser.

Questions about cookies

Any change to the cookies or storage used will be reflected here. For questions, contact info@durhamdecking.co.uk.
